Dr. Stephen Tanner BVSc MRVC Cert. ESM
Veterinarian
Dr Stephen Tanner has provided our local community with quality veterinary care for over 20 years. We thoroughly enjoy Stephen’s knowledge and expertise when dealing with all animal species.
Stephen, born and bred in North Queensland, originally graduated with a bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from the University of Queensland, and headed to Charters Towers as a new graduate. In Charters Towers, Stephen practiced as a mixed animal veterinarian, treating all animals including cattle and horses.
After two years, Stephen then moved to Bendigo, Victoria where followed his strong interest in equine medicine. Working in a rural community, he continued working in a mixed practise which was predominated with equine reproduction.
As he continued to peruse his career, Stephen moved to the United Kingdom where he began working as a resident Veterinarian on a stud farm whilst also working for clients in the surrounding area. Whilst Stephen continued to work in the United Kingdom for the north-hemisphere season, he also returned to Australia for the southern-hemisphere season. Whilst working in the United Kingdom, Stephen completed his Certificate in Equine Stud Medicine (Cert. ESM) and became a Member of the Royal Veterinary College (MRVC).
As Stephens family interests grew, a decision was made to move back to Australia permanently. Finding himself in Beaudesert, Stephen has been a part of the community for over 20years, with his children attending local school, and supporting local events. His veterinary interest have not waned either, with him continuing his equine medicine and mixed practice veterinary medicine. With his care and compassion Stephen is dedicated to providing quality veterinary care and well-being for all your beloved pets.
